30th Annual St. Lucie County Amateur – November 1-2, 2025
A perfect weekend for golf and many took advantage of light winds, cool temperatures and sunny skies. Our 2025 Champion Ben Van Hollebeke charged ahead of first round leader and defending champion Tim Gavrich by firing a second round of 5-under 67. He was equaled by Michael Conti on Sunday who also fired a 67. Gavrich’s putts were just not falling on the slick greens as he backed up his first round 66 with a 73. Well played gentlemen!! The Ladies Champion for the second year in a row was Pat Mayne. Pat was consistent in shooting 78-78 for a 7-shot victory over Chris Wood. The Senior Division was very competitive as Ed Kenny used an eagle 3 on the par 5 13th to propel him to a one-shot victory over Joe Tasca. In the Super-Senior Division, James Stoekel fired two impressive rounds, 73-75 to claim a 6-shot victory over Orlando Alvarez. Next up in the East Coast Amateur Championship series is the Treasure Coast Amateur at Sandridge in Vero Beach.
